The five regional Workforce Development Boards in Connecticut focus on achieving comprehensive workforce development in our state. They help:
- Increase employment, retention, and earnings
- More people earn industry credentials
The Boards work with the Connecticut Department of Labor, other State agencies, and local organizations to address regional employment priorities and training needs. These local organizations include community-based organizations, state and local organized labor, state and municipal government, human service agencies, economic development agencies, community colleges, and other educational institutions, including secondary and post-secondary institutions and regional vocational technical schools.
